To get your photos the best chance of winning a major photography competition, with a look at these three principles:
1. One of the most powerful technique used, the film director Steven Spielberg, the camera is not on the "incredible" what is happening (shark, UFO, direct, German regiment etc.) but rather on the close-up reactions of individual characters seeing those things . In short, it triggers a reaction, not action.

Alfred Hitchcock used this technique well, then you're in good company when you master too.
For example, instead of shooting fireworks of New Year (boring), see a 3-year-old girl reaction to them - in close-up - now that would be powerful!
2. Your images on "X-Factor"?
We are all fascinated byextraordinary. Most of us lead relatively predictable lives so that our enjoyment of extremes in the conversation, as it is cool for example, on a film where a man dresses up like a bat to fight crime and the police believes that by working with him!

3. Imagine the picture as a visual one,''but rather as a series of overlapping planes or layers that are interesting ideas in relation to each other.
For an example of crudeImagine a picture of the water's edge on a sandy beach (Layer 1).
Add a dead soldier on the sand in the first floor (level 2).
In addition, add a bare soldier running with a surfboard to surf on the water (level 3).
What types of messages and themes were used in the layers in this hypothetical image?
In all this, however, ensure that the eye knows where to go in your composition!
